Privacy Statement
Legal AI Hub New Zealand (“we”, “our”, “us”, “community”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
What we collect
We collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, location, organisation, role and any other details you submit through our forms.
How we use it
We use this information to run the Legal AI Hub community, communicate with you about events and updates you've signed up for, and improve what we offer.
Who we share it with
Our community is run by a group of volunteers, overseen by Alexandra Birt, a New Zealand-qualified lawyer, who is our privacy officer. We use trusted third-party tools to operate our website and run community activities, including our email provider, Brevo. Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand. Volunteers and providers only receive the information they need to support community activities, and are required to protect it.
We will not sell your personal information or share it with sponsors or vendors. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Cookies
Our website does not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Unsubscribing and removal
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to remove your details at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. To request a copy, a correction or removal, contact us at hello@legalaihub.nz.
If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please contact us first. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
